General Description/Primary Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of Admissions this
Admissions Recruiter
oversees the recruitment, application process, and registration of public, private, and home education Dual Enrollment students (DE); provides written and verbal program information to partner high schools, students, parents, and University staff; innovates processes with an eye on efficiencies and develops new processes where needed; regularly travels to partner schools; plans and organizes DE dedicated information sessions, application workshops, and partner meetings; prepares reports, statistics, and other information related to DE; collects and evaluates student progress within the programs; monitors and tracks student enrollment in DE programs; provides proactive leadership and guidance to all stakeholders; under the direction of an Assistant Director or higher, serves as support for all DE students and partner schools; oversees all administrative and office tasks related to Dual Enrollment; creates and maintains functional process documentation; creates and maintains official University DE articulation agreements; creates invoices and ensures payment from high schools; works with academic departments to vet high school teachers to become UNF instructors; creates and submits state compliance reports; liaises with the UNF Bookstore regarding instructional materials and costs; oversees the Universitys participation in state reimbursement program.
Job Functions: Incumbents perform non-routine, complex clerical functions requiring the application of department and organizational policies and procedures, and an increased level of responsibility with organizations and individuals external to the University including students and academic processes and information. Explaining organizational or departmental policies and procedures to high school partners, students, faculty, and other University staff; prioritizing tasks Scheduling appointments, classes, and/or activities; developing and implementing filing systems Compiling, tracking and reviewing applicants, data and reports in multiple systems; attending meetings and taking notes Traveling to area high schools; drafting and maintaining Dual Enrollment agreements Desktop publishing Preparing, reviewing, revising and distributing documents and correspondence. Creating purchase orders monitoring expenses Collecting payments from high schools and school boards Performing basic quantitative and qualitative reviews of data Enters, maintains, reports, and verifies a variety of information from applicable documents, spreadsheets, invoices, databases, logs, forms, and/or other related areas, utilizing established guidelines and procedures to determine appropriate steps. Reviews data and information to troubleshoot discrepancies and verify accuracy. Drafts and types a variety of business documents, including letters, memos, contracts, and/or other related documents. Responds to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; takes and transmits messages; answers department questions and provides information. Performs various routine clerical duties, utilizing standard office equipment, to include: screening incoming calls; taking and transmitting messages; greeting visitors; keyboarding information into databases; scanning and/or faxing documents; and performing related duties; creating purchasing orders and monitoring expenses. Performs other Admissions Office duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Statement(s) of Understanding This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
