Position Title: Purchasing and Inventory Manager

Hours: 8 am - 4 pm
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with logistics and tech teams to optimize storage and distribution.
- Prepare and present inventory and purchasing reports to senior management
- Manage budget for the purchasing and inventory department, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of production schedules and work orders.
- Maintain and update manufacturing records and databases.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure the timely flow of materials and information.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence related to production processes.
- Create and maintain inventory management by tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- Prepare and submit reports on production activities and performance metrics.
- Assist in organizing meetings and preparing agendas and minutes.
- Provide administrative support to the manufacturing team, including data entry and filing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and ERP systems
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and QuickBooks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Ability to forecast inventory needs and manage budget constraints
- Understanding of supply chain procedures and logistics
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
