Position Title: Purchasing and Inventory Manager

Location: 525 Maxtown Rd, Westerville OH 43082

Shift: First (8 Hours)

Hours: 8 am - 4 pm

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies in alignment with company goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with logistics and tech teams to optimize storage and distribution.
  • Prepare and present inventory and purchasing reports to senior management
  • Manage budget for the purchasing and inventory department, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of production schedules and work orders.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing records and databases.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure the timely flow of materials and information.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence related to production processes.
  • Create and maintain inventory management by tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production activities and performance metrics.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Provide administrative support to the manufacturing team, including data entry and filing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in documentation.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and QuickBooks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Ability to forecast inventory needs and manage budget constraints
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures and logistics
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
