Travel Nursing Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Neuro RN

• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (option for 48 hours upon request)
• Unit Size: 37 beds
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing
• Current active compact RN license (Indiana or eligible)
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of neuro nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment
• Trauma Level II experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
• Must pass Basic Dysrhythmia Exam
• Ability to float to nearby Indiana campuses within skillset (notice provided)

Neuro RN Responsibilities

• Deliver care for neuro and neuro-surgical patients, including CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op craniotomies, and cerebral angiograms
• Conduct thorough neuro assessments, NIHSS/dysphagia screens, and basic telemetry interpretation
• Manage strict I&O, straight caths, Foley catheters, NG tubes, and indwelling drains
• Initiate and titrate heparin drips, administer blood/blood products, venipuncture, and blood cultures
• Handle stable medication drips (e.g., Protonix, Lasix)
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Precept nursing students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting
• Float to other units or Indiana healthcare campuses as required
