Emergency Department Nurse Educator – Clinic RN Locum Tenens Job in Reno, NV

Key Job Details – Reno Nursing Jobs

• Location: Reno, NV 89502 – Experience Nevada healthcare in a vibrant city near Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
• Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Departments
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/21/2025)
• Shifts: Monday–Friday, 5x8 hour shifts, varied hours; some call required
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Any
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,990 - $2,130
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start)
• Minimum 5 years of clinical RN experience
• 2–5 years of nurse educator or teaching experience
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (required); TNCC, ENPC, or TCAR (preferred)
• Ability to float to different hospital units as needed
• Willingness to work major holidays and pick up additional nursing shifts
  
  

Emergency Department Nurse Educator Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical education and training for ER nursing staff in emergency departments
• Support professional development and competency assessments for emergency nurses
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop and implement educational programs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based nursing practice
• Serve as a clinical resource for trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergency care
• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department environment
