Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Direct PCA activity, synthesize patient information, assess patients, plan care/interventions, teach patients/family, implement treatment plans, follow MD orders, document and evaluate care.
• Integrate patient care standards into all clinical activities.
• Support the mission and core values of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Healthcare Inc., and participate in organizational initiatives including Customer Service, Patients’ Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care, and performance improvement.

Education/Training/Experience

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current CA RN license
• Current BLS-HCP
• Current ACLS (Excludes NICU)
• Current NRP (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU)
• Current PALS (Emergency Dept. only)
• Basic Dysrhythmia class completion (optional for RN with at least 6 months experience, and successful completion of EKG competency exam)
• Unit specific certification (if applicable)
• Emergency PALS
• NIH Certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior 2
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
• Emergency Nursing Course preferred
