Title: RN - Telemetry

Location: Lafayette, LA 70503

Shift: 7a-7p, Day Shift 12 Hour

Duration: 13 weeks

Departments: Med Tele Unit- 5W; Specialty: Med Surg/Tele; MedTele, Post Cath, Cardiac drips

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department\'s strategic goals and objectives and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company\'s philosophy of nursing.

Education: Required - Registered nurse diploma. Preferred - Associate or bachelor\'s degree in nursing.

Experience: 2+ years; MedTele, Post Cath, Cardiac drips

Certifications: Required - Current RN license in state of practice. Current BLS from the American Heart Association. Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.

KSAs: Proficiency with computers and software; effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills; ability to be self-directed; good judgment.

Job Duties: Use the nursing process to deliver patient care; assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies; communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources; use data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes; support customer satisfaction and morale; adapt communication to patient population; perform related duties as required; comply with laws, standards, and the employer\'s Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct. Qualifications
