Job Details

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients while working with a supportive team and receiving comprehensive benefits.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an ER RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Essential Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments
• Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs
• Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice
• Take and monitor vital signs, addressing deviations and preventing complications
• Respond to life-saving situations per standards, policies, and protocols
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR
• Initiate patient education plans according to acute care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills
• Physical ability to move and assist with equipment (up to 50-100 lbs)

• Ability to work under pressure and manage irregular schedules; attention to detail
• Visual acuity and effective communication
