- Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Healthcare Setting: Surgery Center with 4 Operating Rooms, Ophthalmology Center
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)
- On-Call: Weekday and weekend rotation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2360 - $2420

Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience (including ophthalmology cases)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Experience with pre-operative and post-operative care or OR procedures
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and GE monitors
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the operating room for elective and emergent surgical cases, including ophthalmology (retina, cataracts), minor orthopedic, breast/plastics, and outpatient procedures
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in the OR and 1:3 in pre/post-operative rooms
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including charge nurses, hospitalists, and on-call physicians
- Utilize EPIC EMR and advanced clinical technology for accurate patient documentation and monitoring
- Participate in on-call rotations (weekday: 3pm-midnight, weekend: 6am-midnight; typically one week and one weekend of call every 5 weeks)
- Comply with fatigue policy (maximum 60 hours/week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts)
- Attend at least one orientation shift to learn unit flow and hospital protocols
