• Unit: Cardiac Telemetry #2 (36 beds, average census 35)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 9, 2025
• Duration: 14 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, as needed
• Charting System: Epic (required)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records (EMR)
• Proficiency in cardiac and vasoactive drip management: milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, heparin (no titration)
• Strong skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and post-cardiac procedure care
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Full compliance with onboarding and orientation requirements

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and vascular diagnoses, including CHF, MI, dysrhythmias, hypertension, and sepsis
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage cardiac/vasoactive drips according to hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to similar nursing units as needed
• Participate in orientation and complete all required modules
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
