Base pay range
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Details: 13-week travel assignment as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN).
Responsibilities
- Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
- Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the emergency department
- Observe and document patient conditions within the scope of practice
- Take and monitor vital signs; respond to deviations to prevent complications
- Respond to life-saving situations following established standards and protocols
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
- Initiate patient education plans as appropriate for acute care needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent ER RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, SANE certifications
- Other certifications or licenses may be required
