Job Details

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Yuma, Arizona. This role involves delivering rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an ER RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Essential Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved emergency nursing techniques and protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the ED
• Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice
• Take and monitor vital signs with clinical judgment to address deviations
• Respond to life-saving situations following established standards and protocols
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR
• Initiate patient education plans as appropriate to the acute setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication
• English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficient PC skills
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting or moving equipment (50-100 lbs)
• Strong teamwork and professionalism when working with diverse staff
• Technical/motor skills to assist with procedures and equipment
• Mental and time-management ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Visual acuity and effective communication capabilities
