• Location: Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Mental Health Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780–$1,910 per week

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of New York (NY)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient mental health or psychiatric unit
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• De-Escalation training certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Applicants must not reside in the following NY counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in an inpatient psychiatric/mental health setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote patient safety and recovery
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and ensure a safe environment
• Accurately document patient care and progress using EPIC EMR
• Participate in unit activities, including working every other weekend and holiday as scheduled
