Overview:
The External Reporting Department leads the firm's external reporting, including ESG reporting, SEC filings, subsidiary financial statements and all other external reporting. This role is responsible for developing ESG reporting to ensure compliance with California SB 253 and SB 261, as well as future ESG reporting requirements, and providing technical ESG expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. What Experience You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or ESG
- Understanding of how to develop a successful reporting process that includes the right controls, oversight and data integrity
- Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience in the following:
- Deliver the right outcomes - works independently, maintains high quality of work during busy periods, holds self accountable, detail oriented
- Collaborates - comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across the firm to ensure alignment
- Learn continuously - continuous desire to learn and acquire new skills, intellectually curious and wants to understand the why
What Could Set You Apart:
- CPA
- Working knowledge of the TCFD framework and Greenhouse Gas Protocol
- Intermediate technical accounting and/or SEC reporting skills
- Ability to work in teams and independently
- Financial services or brokerage industry experience
