The medical center offers state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative environment where providers work alongside skilled multidisciplinary teams in a Family Birthing Center with NICU, Labor & Delivery, and Mother/Baby Unit.

Job Details:
• Function as the primary mid-level provider for newborn patients under attending pediatrician supervision • Assess, plan, and evaluate medical care for neonates • Document findings in a problem-oriented manner • Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays as needed • Write orders for medications, IV therapy, parenteral nutrition, blood products, admissions, transfers, and discharges • Attend high-risk deliveries, perform resuscitation, and stabilize newborns • Conduct transports independently to transfer newborns between hospital systems, including NICUs • Provide newborn care, resuscitation, and stabilization for all deliveries as required • Serve as a consultant to administrative, nursing, and medical staff • Lead and participate in nursing education and competency assessments related to neonatal care • Submit appropriate billing in a timely manner • Engage in continuous self-development via readings, lectures, and formal education • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development • Act as a role model and resource for peers, physicians, and nursing staff • Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information • Must be Board Certified in Neonatal NP/NNP • Must have successfully completed an accredited NNP program • Must have active Michigan license • Minimum of two years' experience in a NICU required • BLS and NRP Certification required
