Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide acute and rehabilitative care for patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems
- Deliver direct care to patients with stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, pressure ulcers, tubes, and incontinence
- Serve as an educator, consultant, and researcher for wound care practices
- Guide optimal patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Care for patients with complex and intractable wounds resulting from various causes
- Support outreach, psychological, and spiritual services for patients and families
Additional Information
- Must have a minimum of two years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Required board certification: Wound Care
- Must hold a current DEA certification
- Experience with inpatient wound care or long-term acute care required
