Join our dynamic trauma surgery team as a Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Eureka, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a dedicated surgical and trauma team in a hospital setting, providing comprehensive patient care seven days a week. This role requires surgical assisting skills and involves both hospital and outpatient clinic duties. The schedule includes weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus an additional outpatient clinic shift on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care for surgical and trauma patients
  • Assist in surgical procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care
  • Conduct outpatient clinic sessions on Friday mornings
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters
Qualifications
  • Active CA license and DEA required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital clinical activity
  • Surgical assisting experience preferred
  • Board-certification required
  • ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
Working Hours
  • Regular hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Additional outpatient clinic shift: Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Guaranteed 8-hour shifts with overtime requiring pre-approval
