Lycoming College is hiring a Residence Life Fellow
The Residential Life Fellowship position provides an opportunity for a recent college graduate with an interest in community programming / development, media marketing, and incident response to both learn and contribute to the campus community through these position responsibilities. The Fellow will also assist Residential Life staff members in the development and implementation of educational programs to enhance the residential student experience and campus climate.
The Fellow serves in a role that involves sensitive issues, communications, and materials. The Fellow serves as an impartial, fair, and objective role in consideration of diverse issues and perspectives of our whole community.
This is a live-in position. The position is a temporary position for the 2025-2026 academic year beginning in October and will end May 31, 2026.

Support staff development by participating in training, supervision, and evaluations / recognition of student Resident Assistants.
Promote a healthy transition to college life, development of community, student satisfaction, and student persistence within the First-Year residential halls through leading and creating developmental, educational, and social programs.
Assistant with all Resident Halls opening and closing procedures.
Assume after hours / weekend on duty crisis and conflict management responsibilities on an equal rotation basis. Provide leadership to the student staff in the First-Year residence halls.
Provide support to the Residential Life Professional Staff in developing, implementing, delivering, and assessing community-based programming in both first year and upper-class residential areas.
In collaboration with other departments, deliver campus programs/activities on Lycoming College policies, procedures, support services, and topics such as lifelong learning, DEI, values & identity, civic engagement, awareness & prevention, and academic development.
Assist the Residential Life Professional Staff with developing and maintaining communication materials, including website information, social media platforms, flyers, posters, etc.
Provide general office support as required, including clerical support, communications, etc.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Experience or interest in professional development in the areas of community programming, media marketing, incident response. Proficiency in computer skills essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to learn new software applications. Strong organizational and time management skills (attention to detail and accuracy of work a priority). Ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse variety of constituencies (students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, community members). Ability to effectively organize, manage, and complete concurrent priorities within set time periods. Possessing a valid US driver’s license that passes the criteria put forward by the College’s insurance.
