Development Manager
to lead the cultivation and stewardship of major donors and corporate sponsors. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-oriented professional who is motivated to grow a high-impact mission through philanthropic partnerships. Duties and Responsibilities Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors contributing $5,000–$100,000+ Secure multi-year sponsorships from corporations, associations, and industry partners ($500–$100,000), including:
Annual ISSA Show Campaign ($100K target) Giving Tuesday and year-end campaigns (including matching gifts)
Design and implement donor engagement strategies tailored by capacity, interest, and giving history Collaborate with ISSA Marketing and Program staff to highlight donor impact through compelling storytelling Partner with ISSA leadership and ISSA Charities Board on high-level donor engagement opportunities Coordinate donor recognition, stewardship touchpoints, and special events Identify foundation and cause-marketing opportunities and support grant proposal development Qualifications 2–5+ years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising Demonstrated success managing major gifts and corporate sponsorships Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect, Bloomerang) Experience engaging donors across diverse sectors, e.g., healthcare and corporate philanthropy Expected Outcomes Growth in unrestricted revenue to support program expansion Diversified donor base representing multiple sectors Strengthened relationships with mission-aligned supporters and partners Working Conditions Remote Work
– Full-time, work-from-home position requiring a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace Company-Provided Equipment
– A laptop is provided for work-related tasks Flexible Workload
– While standard hours apply, some flexibility may be needed based on workload and deadlines Virtual Collaboration
– Regular communication with team members and departments via email, phone, video conferencing Travel
– This position requires minimal travel expectations
Salary range is $55,000-$65,000 but may vary based on experience. Compensation details:
