Position Position title:

Payroll Representative

Location:

Full-time Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm on-site in Brooklyn, NY

Position summary The Payroll Representative is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while delivering excellent customer service to employees. This role involves handling payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies, processing adjustments, and collaborating with internal departments to maintain efficient payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

Research and resolve payroll discrepancies.

Enter and verify tax information in HHA eXchange.

Accurately process pay adjustments, wage garnishments, and direct deposit requests.

Maintain records of PTO, sick time, and wage parity benefits.

Support employees with PTO and sick time requests.

Prepare payroll reports, including pre-billing.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Ensure prompt and accurate employee compensation.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the payroll department.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of payroll processes and wage/tax regulations.

Fluency in Spanish.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Problem-solving and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with payroll systems (HHA eXchange strongly preferred), 1–2 years of payroll or HR experience.

Familiarity with wage garnishments, PTO, and benefits administration.
