About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Acquiring to take ownership of the go-to-market strategy, drive new client acquisition, and expand the acquiring portfolio across various industries and distribution models. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for merchant acquiring, in line with the organization's payments strategy and revenue goals. This role demands a strong mix of industry expertise, commercial leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to establish and grow a high-performing acquiring business. Key responsibilities include building and growing the acquiring portfolio through new business development, strategic partnerships, and vertical market expansion, as well as developing and tracking sales KPIs to ensure pipeline visibility and accountability. Applicants for the Head of Acquiring position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and at least 10 years' experience in the payments industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior sales or business development leadership role within merchant acquiring. The role requires a proven track record in selling to ISOs, ISVs, fintechs, PayFacs, and banks, as well as knowledge of embedded finance models and integrated payments in vertical SaaS. A deep understanding of digital onboarding, tokenization, mobile wallets, and next-generation payment technologies is essential, along with familiarity with card network rules, acquiring risk standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong cross-functional leadership skills, excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and experience with acquiring solutions from relevant providers.
