Comprehensive Ophthalmologist - Northern Indiana

We are seeking a BE/BC Ophthalmologist to join our busy and well-established practice in South Bend, Indiana. Currently our practice consists of 2 full-time ophthalmologists, 1 part-time ophthalmologist and one optometrist. We have an excellent reputation in the community and are the referral source for many of the primary care providers in the area. We have family medicine residents rotate through our clinic as well as occasional medical students and many decide to stay and practice in the area. We are mainly a general ophthalmology practice and would desire to have a glaucoma or pediatric subspecialist but a comprehensive ophthalmologist would still fit in well. Our full-time ophthalmologists currently each see approximately 30-40 patients per day. We have a great staff with low turnover. We offer a competitive salary with medical, dental and 401k. Partnership in the practice is available if desired. Delivering high patient satisfaction and superior clinical results are our goal. The ideal candidate possesses a great personality, is extremely ethical and is highly motivated to contribute to the growth of the practice. We have a well-equipped office with visual field, SLT, OCT, YAG, topography, cell counter, IOL master, Nextech EMR and argon laser. We have an excellent work-life balance and as a partner work an equivalent of four days a week. There is minimal call responsibility and most days clinic is completed by 5 pm. There are no weekend or evening hours. South Bend is the home of the University of Notre Dame. This provides the significant cultural and athletic events that you would expect of a large University. We are 90 minutes from Chicago and 45 minutes from Lake Michigan. Northern Indiana has a low cost of living, and has quality public schools along with an excellent malpractice climate.
