Senior Executive Assistant, Amazon Web Services

Job ID: 3096467 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and customer-obsessed Executive Assistant to support as an extension of the C-Suite Executive office, and to work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the organization. This role requires attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple critical requests across global teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, an experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, composure, and a good sense of humor.

The individual in this role must understand business priorities, proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company, is critical. The successful candidate will be able to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance, react with urgency to situations requiring a quick turnaround, and take effective action without needing the whole picture. The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group. In a highly ambiguous environment, you will complete tasks and projects quickly and with little to no guidance, applying superior attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple critical requests with flexibility and a sense of humor. You will understand business priorities, proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for the leaders and their teams. Over time, you will build deep, trusting professional relationships with the leaders and their teams, which will blossom into strong partnerships that provide opportunities for special projects with increased responsibility and long-term career growth.

  • Orchestrate complex calendars, scheduling requirements, and prioritization of executive tasks and appointments across time zones according to importance, urgency, and relevance, ensuring strategic alignment with business priorities
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between executive leadership and key stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and managing sensitive information with the highest level of discretion
  • Execute end-to-end travel logistics for international and domestic trips, including complex multi-city itineraries, client-facing events, and team visits across corporate offices
  • Lead the planning of events including staff meetings, all-hands meetings, executive offsites, team-building activities, and supply ordering
  • Collaborate with the EA Community across AWS/AmSec to drive best practices, implement solutions, and improve organizational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems for critical deliverables, ensuring on-time completion of executive and team commitments with regular status updates to key stakeholders
  • Have fun at work and help others do the same
