Position Overview
The NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is seeking a Senior Microsoft .NET Specialist to support, enhance, and ensure ADA compliance for DCDEE Regulatory, DCDEE website, and other DCDEE applications. This role involves full-stack development, system administration, and close collaboration with business executives and IT personnel to execute program requirements under tight timelines.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft .NET development, database management, web service integration, and ADA compliance for enterprise-level applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Microsoft .NET (Framework & Core), DNN (DotNetNuke), C#, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, AngularJS/Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
Ensure applications and websites are ADA compliant, performing necessary modifications and testing.
Design, optimize, and manage SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, queries, and relational data modeling.
Implement web service integrations using SOAP, REST, HTTP, UDDI, WSDL.
Develop and deploy reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Utilize HTML5, CSS3, XML, XSL, VBScript, AJAX for web application development.
Perform system administration, configuration, and support for DCDEE applications.
Participate in strategic and tactical planning with business partners, vendors, and IT teams.
Monitor technical activities to ensure adherence to schedules, standards, and quality.
Communicate effectively with end users and team members, maintaining professional relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of full-stack experience with Microsoft .NET (Framework & Core), DNN, C#, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, AngularJS/Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
7+ years of SQL Server 2019+ experience, including database design, optimization, and relational modeling.
7+ years experience with HTML5, CSS3, XML, XSL, VBScript, AJAX.
7+ years experience with web service integration (SOAP, REST, HTTP, UDDI, WSDL).
7+ years experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Experience modifying applications for ADA compliance.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
5+ years experience with Visual Developer Tools (XRMToolBox, Plugins, Ribbon Workbench, REST Builder).
Preferred Skills
Prior experience working with state government applications.
Strong problem-solving, planning, and project execution skills.
