A full-time Director of College Planning and Academic Excellence position is available immediately in the companys office in Waltham, Massachusetts and reporting to the CEO.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of College Planning and Academic Excellence will have the following specific job responsibilities:

(1) Oversee the full scope of college planning, academic advising, and application strategy for students and families; (2) Supervise the College Planning team, including by providing guidance on daily tasks to the Educational Counselors and Consultants and reviewing their work for accuracy and quality; (3) Oversee the workflow of counseling services and revise procedures if areas for improvement are identified; (4) Develop standard operating procedures to maintain student records and documentation in accordance with company policies, ensuring the confidentiality of materials pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act; (5) Contribute to the design and improvement of counseling services, tools, and curriculum, such as designing and updating the college preparation and academic success programs; (6) Coordinate and lead college tours for students and families; (7) Manage and maintain regular communication with students and parents to provide updates and reports on progress, address any feedback on educational counseling and consulting services, and provide recommendations to team members and management for improvement; (8) Collaborate with management on strategic planning, and provide support for the companys clientele growth and community outreach initiatives; and (9) Build and maintain professional relationships with college admissions personnel and other higher ed professionals.

Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated professional employment experience in providing educational counseling services.

Required employment experience must include:

(1) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in counseling students on academic and career planning and development; (2) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in guiding students through the entire college application process, including admission requirements, degree programs, personal statements, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and interview preparation; (3) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in administering and interpreting tests and assessments to evaluate and guide students academic and career development; (4) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in maintaining and documenting accurate records of students, counseling interactions, assessments, progress, and action plans; (5) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in researching and maintaining knowledge on evolving educational policies and trends in the college admissions strategies and requirements; (6) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in providing guidance and support to students with academic, social, and personal challenges and referring to the appropriate resources; (7) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in engaging parents in the counseling and consulting process and addressing parental concerns; and (8) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in working with teachers, administrators, parents, and other academic personnels to support students career and academic development and success.
