Responsibilities

• Design and operate production AWS platforms with Amazon Connect and Salesforce integration.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including modules and policy as code; support GitOps workflows and drift detection.
• Implement observability and incident management practices (SLIs/SLOs, on-call, postmortems) and ensure high availability and disaster recovery patterns.
• Ensure robust security and compliance for PCI-compliant payment platforms and associated AWS services.
• Integrate AWS services with Salesforce Service/Experience Cloud; work with telephony integration and contact center analytics (Contact Flows, CTR/Contact Lens, call recording/retention, reporting).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and IaC (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and perform debugging across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with teams on architecture decisions and participate in on-call rotation with well-documented runbooks and automated remediation.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on AWS expertise: Amazon Connect, Lex V2, Lambda (Python), API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, WAF/Shield, KMS.
• Experience designing and operating production Connect environments (contact flows, analytics, recording/retention, reporting, routing, telephony integration).
• Lex V2 bot design and operation, including Lambda-based fulfillment/validation in Python (boto3), error handling, and analytics.
• Strong Terraform for infrastructure as code and GitOps workflows.
• SRE skills: SLIs/SLOs, incident management, on-call, postmortems, capacity/perf tuning, high availability, DR patterns.
• Observability at scale with Datadog, CloudWatch, and/or other tools (metrics, traces, logs, alerts, synthetics).
• CI/CD automation for both application and IaC pipelines.
• Experience integrating AWS services with Salesforce and PCI-compliant payment platforms.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills; clear written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation with documented runbooks.

Nice to Have

• Architectural leadership for large-scale, multi-region AWS platforms; experience with AWS Control Tower/Organizations.
• Exposure to call center tech beyond Connect (SIP, SBCs, carrier management) and analytics tooling for contact centers.
• Experience with AI assistants/agentic patterns leveraging Bedrock; real-time agent assist and summarization in Connect.
• Containers/Kubernetes (ECS/EKS) and service mesh experience where appropriate.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps).
• Fault Injection Simulator/chaos engineering; security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
