Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work with state of the art technology in a supportive team environment, delivering high-quality patient care and supporting continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients, maintaining patient comfort and providing education throughout treatment
- Review patient health history to support quality care
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during a wide range of procedures in accordance with state practice act
- Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
- Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols per OSHA & CDC recommendations
- Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
- Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
- Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to protecting PHI and maintaining data safeguards; HIPAA training required
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of experience in a dental setting
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
- Dental assisting school certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Occasional travel for virtual or in-person trainings
- TB test required for all new hires in dental offices (not applicable in FL & TN)
