Job Details
As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our construction projects, providing accurate cost estimates that drive the financial success of our projects. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who has a deep understanding of the construction industry and is looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects at various stages from concept to completion.
Review architectural plans and engineering specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop and refine project scopes.
Provide cost advice and financial reporting to management, helping to shape the financial strategy of our construction projects.
Negotiate and liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the best possible financial outcome for our projects.
Keep up-to-date with the latest construction materials, methods, and cost trends to ensure our estimates are accurate and competitive.
Use your knowledge and expertise to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Contribute to the development and improvement of our estimating processes and systems.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is .
Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Proficiency in estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present cost estimates in a clear and concise manner.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote setting.
