The Senior Clinical Administrative Nurse will play a vital role in offering personalized support to UMR members and their families, assisting them in navigating the health care system. Our clinical liaison nurses help individuals achieve their fullest potential by coordinating care with various stakeholders, including consumers, families, and clinical teams. Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the U.S. while you tackle meaningful challenges. We are looking for full-time availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Key Responsibilities: Equip members with tools and educational support to help them effectively manage their health concerns and navigate the health care system. Provide guidance and education to members regarding Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorder (BHSUD). Assist members in understanding and managing adverse determinations, including the appeals process. Instruct members on how to utilize UMR's online wellness tools and resources. Conduct outreach for pre-admission counseling and discharge planning for members and their caretakers. Document all activities meticulously to facilitate customer reporting. Process referrals through designated methods, evaluate service options, and coordinate medical and community resources as required. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and documentation standards in relevant systems and databases. Engage in discussions related to treatment planning. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted RN compact license. Minimum of 2 years of acute nursing experience. At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health nursing. Minimum of 2 years of case management experience. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word and Outlook. Capacity to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing. Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential. At least 2 years of experience in managed care. Experience in critical care, pediatrics, med-surg, and/or telemetry. Experience in utilization management. Knowledge of adverse determination processes. Prior telecommuting experience. Essential Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Strong customer service orientation. Collaborative team player with team-building skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities in a dynamic work environment. All remote employees must comply with UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Our compensation is competitive and takes into account factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including incentives, recognition programs, equity stock options, and a 401k contribution plan (eligibility requirements apply).
