Responsibilities

• Interprets provider orders and prescriptions, compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines and professional standards.
• Consults with patients and others as required regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
• Provides drug information to patients, health care workers and others as necessary.
• Provides oversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff, including directing work flow and ensuring completion of duties.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of practice.
• Participates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelors of Science or PharmD
• Active Pharmacist license in the state you are practicing
• Strong professional judgment in advising and counseling patients and healthcare team
• Ability to monitor drug utilization information and detect potential drug interactions, overlaps, overdosing and other unique situations
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and other staff, directing workflow
