Overview

THRIVE Academy is currently accepting applications for a full time Administrative Assistant. THRIVE is a consortium of 25 member school districts, serving as an alternative setting for students in grades K-12, and is part of the Manson Northwest Webster Community School District. THRIVE assists students who would benefit from an alternative setting that provides additional support for their social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. We provide a high staff to student ratio and small class sizes in order to best meet the individual needs of our students.

Job Summary

Answers the doors and phone, screens visitors, maintains building calendar, and acts as the receptionist for the building. Responsible for student attendance. Ability to respond to students, parents/guardians, and the public tactfully and courteously and to work professionally with other employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Must have good communication skills, be flexible, and patient.
  • Greet visitors, maintain visitor log; direct or escort visitors to various locations.
  • Collaborate with office and building staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Proficient computer skills including Google Suite.
  • Maintains shared calendars & documents as instructed.
  • Track attendance and weekly and monthly attendance reports.
  • Answering phone calls and directing the caller to the appropriate personnel, and taking messages.
  • Assists in orienting new families to school procedures.
  • Maintain a professional level filing system.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Able to make decisions within guidelines provided or take charge in emergency situations.
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • May collect and direct money and funds for various purposes.
  • Arranges substitutes for staff that have requested leave.
  • Maintaining supply inventories.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and maintenance of office equipment and scheduling repairs.
  • Working knowledge of children and/or adolescent behavior.
  • Assist in classrooms as needed to support student learning.
