Overview

Recognized as the No. 1 site trusted by real estate professionals, Realtor.com has been at the forefront of online real estate for over 25 years, connecting buyers, sellers, and renters with trusted insights and expert guidance to find their perfect home. Join us on our mission to empower more people to find their way home by breaking barriers to entry, making the right connections, and building confidence through expert guidance.

We are looking for a Data Analyst with a Tableau focus to join our Product Analytics team within the Data Science & Analytics organization with the goal of helping the extended product team develop a framework, metrics, business reports, and strategic analysis around how we communicate performance to our clients (the agent and broker community).

The Data Science and Analytics organization at Realtor.com sits at the heart of our mission. We process and analyze terabytes of data every day that enable decisions for millions of home buyers, sellers, renters, dreamers, and real estate professionals. Our goal is to use this data to make the home buying experience a breeze for our consumers and to match them with the most suitable realtor to meet their needs.

Role Description

We are looking for the best data and analytical minds to help us measure the effectiveness of our products that aim to make it simple and easy to buy and sell a home. We are seeking a Data Analyst with a consumer services, business, or technology background. The team you are joining acts as a “trusted” partner to our key product stakeholders, helping them answer their most critical business questions. This can involve strategic deep insight analysis, A/B experimentation design and measurement, or creating new ways to measure business success. Ideal candidates will be comfortable presenting their findings to stakeholders.

This role will support a new area of focus for the company in Fiscal Year 2026. We sit on a wealth of data, and this person will help the business harness its power. The Product Analytics team aims to be strategic and pivotal to ensure the company meets key OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). This is not a traditional reporting role — a successful candidate will surface the "why" behind data movements, not just the "what".

Responsibilities

  • Business Performance Reporting, Visualization and Analysis: be the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand product performance. When metrics are ahead or behind expectations, drive meaningful, actionable insights to improve performance or capitalize on success.
  • Deep-Dive Analysis: apply advanced techniques (A/B experimentation, statistical modeling, matched pair, and/or machine learning) to analyze consumer product performance at a lead and feature level; translate insights into recommended actions.
  • Opportunity Identification and Sizing: forecast and size opportunities to set goals and evaluate potential product enrichments; help stakeholders understand short- and long-run dynamics and create targets to drive business performance.
  • Partnership and Communication: collaborate with Product stakeholders and other data teams to improve data architecture, visualization, modeling, and testing platforms.
  • Build trust across interactions and with Enterprise Consumer Data Mart; advocate for adoption.
  • Monitor visitors’ engagement and conversion by tracking metrics and, if necessary, develop new estimated KPIs (e.g., product usage metrics).
  • Share best practices with other product and analytics teams to enrich analytics practices.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, and statistical models to understand health and trends in product engagement and funnel conversion metrics.
  • Create impactful data insights from analytic plan creation through end-of-analysis summaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Math, Economics
  • 2-5+ years of experience analyzing data to answer business questions
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with data exploration and visualization tools (Tableau, Shiny, Streamlit, etc.)
  • Experience using data to analyze product feature performance is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge in Python or R is a plus
  • Experience with digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) is preferred
  • Experience in a consumer subscription business is relevant
  • Experience with cloud-based data environments (AWS, Snowflake)
  • Advanced technical and modeling skills including Excel or Google Sheets (pivot, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Understanding of experimentation and statistics concepts (confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression analysis)
  • Strategic thinking with ability to interpret product performance drivers and conversion funnel analysis
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a largely remote organization
  • Comfort working in a highly agile, iterative environment
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
