Data Analyst/Scientist

Location: US Remote

Responsibilities

• Creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc.)
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis and deep dives into specific financial areas or projects.
• Collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data from various sources.
• Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security in financial databases and systems.
• Recommending process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance data analysis efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial markets, especially in Retail Banking
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
• Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of programming such as Python or R is a plus.

Additional Information

• Professional certifications in finance domain or data domain would be added advantage.
• Continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies are essential for success in this role.
