Job Overview

The Merchandiser Part Time NU role at Coca-Cola Consolidated involves presenting products to attract customers at customer retail locations, servicing multiple bulk accounts, merchandising approved products, and following safe handling and quality guidelines. The role requires following plan sets/planograms and communicating with store management and cross-functional personnel.

Responsibilities

• Fills, merchandises and rotates products on display and shelves according to procedures and special programs
• Move product from backroom to display
• Create and distribute point of sale materials on display and shelf where permitted; rotate product; check vendor operations for proper functionality
• Organize and maintain back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor; manage returns of pallets, shells, damaged and out-of-date product
• Foster business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Effective communication skills including listening, speaking, and writing
• Customer service experience preferred in a retail setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a variety of customers with different demands
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs repeatedly)
• Ability to work reliably and independently with minimal supervision
• Critical thinking skills
• Company provided cell phone

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver’s license
• Excellent driving history
• Proof of insurance with current coverage requirements as specified

Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Range: $18.14/hr

Schedule: Thursday–Monday, 4:00 PM until completion of route; weekends required.
