The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. The role includes supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators and supporting the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing to ship and receive products in a productive and cost-efficient manner
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control
  • Oversee warehouse aspects related to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
  • Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance programs and communicate repairs to the appropriate manager; ensure safe, efficient equipment for distribution
  • Manage warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Ensure all associates are trained and follow standard operating procedures
  • Manage progressive disciplinary processes (counseling, oral and written warnings) to maintain a productive warehouse labor climate
  • Handle general employee inquiries and problem-solve
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations
  • Complete necessary activity reports for management
  • Monitor the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry
  • Resolve discrepancies with shipping documents, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
  • Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP
  • Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection and stored to conserve space while maintaining safety
  • Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse
  • Perform other related duties as directed by management

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center)
  • Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Competent in basic mathematical calculations
  • Strong computer skills with ability to work in Windows-based systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment with typical noise levels; exposure to moving vehicles

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Physical work – ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20–30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. The employee must frequently use hands and fingers, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and may crouch or crawl as needed.

Store Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pickup Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Sunday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
