Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for inventory management, including the development of minimum inventory levels, ordering of parts to support warehouse functions as well as overall management of inbound and outbound shipping and receiving. The candidate will effectively interact and communicate with department heads to ensure accurate coordination of warehouse activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a warehouse and warehouse staff, work well independently, and within a team. They should be well organized and have a strong attention to detail. Must possess the ability to handle multiple competing demands while ensuring deadlines are met is required for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Prepare work orders and submit requisitions for repairs or replacement of equipment.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure warehouse activities align with production, sales, inventory control, and purchasing.
  • Direct the processing of salvaged parts from damaged or used material.
  • Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
  • Review and develop strategies to reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventories.
  • Plan and administer continuous inventory audits to support budgeting.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Manage implementation and maintenance of new technology for fleet and inventory tracking.
  • Work closely with Planning and Operational departments to ensure cohesive and timely flow of finished goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of Logistics/Inventory/Warehouse Management experience required.
  • High competency with inventory systems management and advanced skills in spreadsheets and databases.
  • Experience utilizing SAP system is highly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven diagnostic and decision-making skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and embrace new technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude in a high-stress environment.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
