The Community School Receptionist is responsible for maintaining systems that facilitate communication, ensure accountability, and help to support the day-to-day functions of the Community School.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Answer telephones promptly and professionally; take and relay messages accurately.
  • Make copies and distribute materials as needed.
  • Pick up, sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot office equipment, including copiers, and computers.
  • Type memos and utilize computer for various office tasks and communications.
  • Provide assistance to all organizational programs including after-school program, Data Department, Teen program, Parent Engagement program, and Adult Education program.
  • Assist Operations Manager with general office responsibilities and tasks.
  • Assist Program Director and Coordinators with program-related needs.
  • Coordinate the distribution of working papers and related documents.
  • Maintain room 123 in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

$18.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Proficient in English and Spanish, preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
