Blythe Development Co is hiring: Heavy Equipment Operator in Charlotte

Overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and effective manner on jobsites. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to: front-end loaders, trackhoe, bulldozer, GPS dozer, roller, off-road truck, mini-excavator, excavator, skidsteer. Other duties may be assigned based on specific job needs.

Responsibilities

• Enter and exit heavy machinery safely, maintaining three points of contact and awareness of surroundings.
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform daily maintenance to keep equipment in proper, safe operating condition.
• Work as part of a team and follow Foremen's instructions to meet schedules.
• Be flexible with schedule changes, location changes, and shift changes.
• Follow traffic control instructions and company policies and procedures for safe working conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50+ lbs.
• Preferred: 2+ years' experience as a heavy equipment operator.
