Support the Organic Software Center (OSC) Team in providing integration and sustainment support across multiple domains in support of our F-35 Integrated Product Team (IPT) customer.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide technical assistance to support the Organic Software Center in support of all requirements and capabilities including hardware and software, inventory, assembly, lab support and validation.
- Perform work of a specialized nature which demonstrates a high level of technical depth and recognized attainment. Work at this level requires extended technical experience and development which has resulted in an intimate grasp of a specialized and complex area of work. Guidelines are sometimes nonexistent, and the procedures and methodology may be originated by the incumbent. Priority and other factors create a need for critical judgment in making compromises to satisfy overall requirements and deadlines.
- While utilizing agile practices, will provide for the integration planning of laboratory hardware & software, engineering development and maintenance/sustainment of the Organic Software Center. This includes providing technical support while identifying facility infrastructure requirements for lab modernization in support of F-35 IPT goals.
- Support will consist of planning, prioritizing, and executing all project management functions in coordinating personnel to upgrade/enhance laboratory capability with the integration of new tools, equipment and/or systems.
- Coordinate with the OSC Lead, facilities representatives, and interface with OEM to ensure specifications and requirements are identified and understood to support installs.
- Provide technical reporting to the OSC Lead on status of projects and tasking.
- Manage lab engineering deficiencies that are identified and will develop a process for adjudicating and prioritizing deficiencies for correction.
- Provide sustainment activities in support of operational use during software development of F-35 capabilities.
- Work closely with engineering and software development teams, security personnel, and IT personnel and therefore is expected to independently carry out work assignments that require planning, organization, and schedule execution.
- Create and review analytical reports for test/laboratory events. Record discovered limitations, issues, and solutions.
- Prepare and/or contribute to presentations on program status, accomplishments, problem identification, requirements for support, and promotion of program objectives.
Required Skills
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- An Associates degree with 10 plus years of relevant engineering experience or a Bachelors degree with 8 plus years of relevant engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to plan, track and communicate status, risks and needs.
- Practical experience with F-35 avionics systems functionality.
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment. Non-local domestic and foreign travel may be required to attend technical reviews and programmatic meetings.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).
