Overview
United Services Group, an Inc. 5000 Company, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team in Hampton, Virginia. This is a full-time, single-person office role supporting contracts with Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII.
Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do
- Be the go-to HR professional for recruitment and onboarding, ensuring we attract top talent and maintain smooth operations.
- Manage requisitions and onboarding for Newport News Shipbuilding.
- Source candidates, screen resumes, and coordinate background checks and drug testing.
- Create and edit documents using Microsoft Word.
- Data entry and record management using Beeline.
- File and maintain accurate employee records.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in talent acquisition or HR.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat a plus.
- Experience with IQN or Beeline preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
- Construction or shipyard experience (preferred but not required).
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch from 12–1 PM).
