Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Recruiter to join our innovative team. This person will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our hiring strategy, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting our rapid growth. The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates to fill open positions within the company. The role will involve collaborating with hiring managers, conducting interviews, negotiating job offers, and maintaining candidate relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage job postings on various platforms, including the company website and external job boards. This will include drafting compelling job postings and other recruitmentrelated materials to attract talent, as well as posting and maintaining job listings on state job boards in alignment with Affirmative Action (AA) and compliance guidelines.
  • Review resumes for technical and relevant experience.
  • Conduct initial candidate phone or video interview and screening to assess knowledge, skills, and overall fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule panel interviews between candidates and Firehawk Aerospace staff, ensuring a positive experience for all parties.
  • Prepare candidates for the interview process and provide guidance and expectations on the process.
  • Gather and maintain interview feedback between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Maintain and update the Paychex Flex applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status updates.
  • Responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, job boards, and networking.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and feedback.
  • Partner with technical leaders and hiring managers to understand job requirements and team needs as well as advise on market trends, salary benchmarks, and candidate availability.
  • Provide best practice interview guidance to new hiring managers and teammates, as needed.
  • Discuss compensation expectations and benefits with candidates and extend job offers, and handle negotiations.
  • Owning the new hire preemployment onboarding process and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Conducting and maintaining records of preemployment background checks, drug screens, and coordinating start dates.
  • Coordinate the employee referral bonus program, tracking bonus payment obligations, etc.
  • Support Applicant Tracking reporting for Affirmative Action Plans and other applicant reporting needs.
  • Maintain recruitment metrics and distribute to the team periodically and as requested.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with educational institutions and external recruiting agencies.
  • Responsible for recruiting activities related to the Firehawk summer internship program in partnership with Human Resources. This includes posting, potential job fairs, and coordination of crossdepartmental interview panels and selection.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in recruitment, talent sourcing, candidate screening, interviewing, and generating and negotiating employment offers.
  • Proficiency in sourcing and pipelining candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter or similar tools.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Paychex Flex or other similar systems.
  • Experience with preemployment screening 3rd parties, such as HireRight or other similar systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced startup environment and adapt to different audiences and advise hiring leaders when needed.
  • Previous experience in recruiting for the aerospace or defense industry is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.

ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto.

Security Clearance

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
