Location: Henrico, VA. The HR Generalist will report to the Site HR Business Partner and will be responsible for HR programs and initiatives at the site that support the growth and profitability of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers on HR strategies, talent needs, recruiting diverse talent, and development.
  • Advise site management on talent matters, employee engagement, workforce planning, and policies.
  • Assess management capabilities and business development opportunities.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to managers.
  • Participate on site and corporate projects, teams, and process improvements.
  • Support Flex Culture, Ways of Working, and Business Expertise.
  • Guide managers on change management and culture.
  • Consult on HR trends, labor laws, and policies.
  • Manage employee life cycle activities, including onboarding, orientation, and exits.
  • Assist with the development of local recruitment programs and budgets.
  • Maintain network of contacts and coordinate participation in job fairs and organizations.
  • Counsel management on policy interpretation, legal awareness, and investigate policy and labor law violations and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Create programs to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare and communicate records required by law or governing bodies.
  • Partner with Total Rewards on compensation and benefit programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support HR Centers of Excellence on global initiatives locally.
  • Communicate and lead programs benefiting the site and participate in program design activities and postmortem reviews.
  • Manage employee sustainability initiatives and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field.
  • 6–12 months of Human Resources or related experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to protect and maintain data privacy.
  • Good communication and strong relational skills.
  • General knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary understanding of Flex policies and procedures.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Workday a plus.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates through executives.
  • Experience responding to customer complaints, employee issues, and regulatory inquiries.
