Reach forklift driver 2 – Urgently Hiring.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 4PM-12:30AM ($20/HR).

Job Purpose

To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading/unloading of RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintains forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Ability to operate sit-down forklift and/or EPJs.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Load and unload RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
• Flexible to work 10 to 12 hours shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
• Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Processing outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
• Oversee storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
• Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
• Record and verify the accuracy of shipments against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Ensure all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures, including wearing seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
• Handle all customer products properly and orderly.
• Check deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alert Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
• Report all accidents/incidents, to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
• Maintain access to dock doors inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication, problem resolution, and people skills.
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed and providing coverage to other shifts.
• PC skills helpful.
• Experience on sit-down forklifts/EPJs.
• Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
• Experience in cross docking freight process.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit-down forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.
• Good stable work record.

Education And/or Experience Required

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
• Warehousing certifications a plus.
