Responsibilities
- Perform orbital welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys.
- Set up and operate orbital welding machines and related equipment.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and weld specifications.
- Inspect welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and appearance.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete projects.
Qualifications
- Welding background (TIG, process piping, or field welding).
- Orbital welding experience is a plus but not required; training provided.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Physically able to perform welding work (standing, bending, lifting).
- Welding certifications (TIG or process piping).
- Experience in food & beverage, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or semiconductor industries.
- Familiarity with AWS or ASME codes.
The estimated salary range for this position is $25 to $27 an hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
