Solid Waste Engineer - Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC):
As a Solid Waste Engineering Project Manager for CEC, you will be involved in the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction period services for solid waste management facilities, including coal combustion residual (CCR) facilities, and industrial facilities;
• General civil/environmental engineering duties;
• Design of all aspects of landfills
  • Double composite liner systems;
  • Leachate conveyance and storage facilities;
  • Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities;
  • Landfill gas collection/treatment systems;
  • On-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures;
• Develop permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities;
• Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans;
• Review of projects for compliance with plans/specifications;
• Strong client and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office; and an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
• 10-15+ years experience in the design, permitting, and document preparation of waste disposal facilities;
• Some experience with AutoCad design software;
• Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process;
• B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus);
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure or ability to achieve P.E. within the next two years;
• Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
