INSPYR Solutions is hiring: Cybersecurity EDR Analyst in The Woodlands

Overview

Title: Cybersecurity EDR Analyst
Location: Hybrid in 77380 (onsite 2 days per month) • The Woodlands, TX
Duration: Permanent, Direct-Hire
Work Requirements: US Citizens, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US.

Key Points:

• EDR and investigations are the primary focus of this role; strong skills in those areas are required.
• Candidates must be local to the Houston area; role requires onsite presence in The Woodlands, TX (2 days per month).

Responsibilities

• Works closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, MSSP, and outside vendors to research, analyze and monitor security threats.
• Mentors other analysts responsible for threat intel, incident response, network, cloud, endpoint and database security.
• Deploys and manages security solutions to assist with logging, alerting, and threat analysis.
• Monitors security systems and alerts appropriate parties to vulnerabilities, attacks, and other security issues.
• Recommends and implements policies and procedures to ensure adherence to security standards.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• 5+ years to network or systems administration experience.
• 2+ years of EDR management experience.
• 1+ years of SIEM management experience.
• Other beneficial experience (e.g., VA, IPS, Cloud Security, Routing and Switching, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intel/Intel Solutions, CASB, Python, or Automation/Orchestration) is preferred.

Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, and resolve complex network technical issues.
• Technical knowledge of security configurations, log analysis, intrusion detection and mitigation.
• Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills; ability to convey information to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
• Solid understanding of network security practices, systems, and standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Customer service orientation with proven process and project management skills.
• Strategic and problem-solving mindset with analytical and organizational abilities.
