Summary
The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer II (Intermediate) manages the organization's technical security capabilities to ensure the security and resilience of systems, services, and critical resources. Implements the appropriate processes and technical safeguards to ensure the delivery of critical infrastructure services. Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, reviews, and administers the cybersecurity hardware, software, and documentation required to effectively manage cybersecurity resources and achieve organizational cybersecurity goals. Manages the organization’s system security capabilities including endpoint, cloud, and data security tools and services. The Engineer works in close partnership with peers and other subject matter experts across the organization to achieve desired outcomes. Provides thought leadership and guidance to level I Engineers.

Minimum Qualifications
- Formal Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience & Training Required: Five (5) years information security experience; Five (5) years of IT related experience.
- Preferred experience in a healthcare environment with exposure to HIPAA, PCI DSS, or other relevant regulations.
- Certifications required: CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent).
- ITIL Foundation (or equivalent).
- Certifications preferred: ISC2 CCSP, SSCP, CISSP (or equivalent); GIAC Certifications; CompTIA CASP.
- Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: Intermediate knowledge of information assurance principles; network concepts and security methodologies; authentication methods; secure configuration management; cyber threats and vulnerabilities; security system design tools and techniques; and related areas. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences; ability to mentor junior analysts; ability to work independently in moderately ambiguous situations; ability to optimize systems to meet organizational cybersecurity requirements; ability to stay up to date on emerging security threats and technologies; and analytical problem-solving skills.
