Location Description Located along the shores of Chatham, Massachusetts, Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Five-Star resort, stands as a timeless beacon of hospitality, blending rich history with modern luxury on 25 oceanfront acres. The Inn has 217 rooms and suites, from the historic Main Inn to dozens of cottage-style buildings with flower-lined brick walkways and breathtaking views. Chatham Bars Inn is one of Cape Cod’s most beloved destinations for family vacations, romantic getaways, and corporate retreats. Guests of the Inn are able to experience a series of authentic, first-hand Cape Cod experiences such as private cabana rentals along the Inn’s private quarter-mile beach, an oceanfront pool, complimentary bike rentals, private bonfires, tennis courts, a full-service spa, and supervised Kids Crew sessions. Overview The Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to assisting and supporting the Food and Beverage Manager in the assigned outlet. The Supervisor will maintain a high standard of quality with regard to guest and employee satisfaction and is responsible for meeting the objectives and standards set forth by Chatham Bars Inn, in addition to:
- Greeting guests and assigning tables
- Handling guest complaints
- Contributing to the achievement of F&B revenue goals
- Striving to increase F&B guest counts while maintaining quality of service
- Reviewing staffing needs daily and weekly
- Ensuring accountability of the restaurant operating systems (requisitions, weekly and daily inventories)
- Performing opening and closing duties
- Managing FOH and FB team daily
Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Basic computer skills required. Experience with Excel, Outlook, Micros and OpenTable
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys a fast-paced work environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Current TIPS Alcohol Certification or comparable alcohol service certification
