Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions.
• Check station for proper set-up and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts.
• Record guest orders, repeat to ensure accuracy, and input orders into the POS system to inform the kitchen.
• Retrieve and deliver orders with appropriate condiments, ensuring accuracy.
• Adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations regarding alcohol service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Replenish beverages, check guest satisfaction, and suggest desserts or specialty coffees on request.
• Assist with clearing and resettling tables and perform assigned side work (replenishing condiments, restocking, etc.).
• Follow health, safety, and security procedures; present checks to guests promptly.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per team member handbook.
• Perform related duties as requested and assist other restaurant personnel when needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of all liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Hold or be in process of obtaining a Food Handler Card; hold a valid TABC license.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic English language ability to understand inquiries and communicate instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions for safety in the hotel environment.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment (e.g., coffee maker).

Physical Demands

• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs through a crowded room for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds maximum.
• Constant standing and walking; frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, and sensory engagement.
