Overview

Dockworker/Forklift Operator – 3rd Shift at BSP Trans Inc, in partnership with The Law Family Companies. Base pay range: $21.00/hr. Full-time, Sun through Thu – 12:00 AM Start Time. 1000 Sign On Bonus. This position is part of a six-terminal network serving Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

We have immediate openings for the Dockworker/Forklift Operator 3rd Shift with the responsibilities and requirements described below.

What You Will Do On a Typical Shift

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods and may be slippery
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally)
• Be able to do math with and without a calculator

What You Need at a Minimum

• Strong work ethic, ability to work in a high-paced, team-oriented environment with good communication
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of a county-level background check during onboarding

Preferred Qualifications

• Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed
