Dock & Door – Field Service Technician(St. Louis, MO)

Position Summary:
Maintain service and support dock equipment(including dock plates, dock lock systems,and overhead doors)at the customer location ina timelyand cost-effective manner so that customer requirements are met.
*This is a full time, hourly position. Some overtime may berequiredbased on customer demands.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive to customer site, diagnose, trouble-shoot and repair dock equipment including dock plates, trailer restraint systems, and overhead doors and other equipmentin accordance withestablished guidelines and procedures,maintainingpositive customer relations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule, establishedprocedures,and cost guidelines at customer’s facility.
- Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely follow MobileTech Procedures as directed by management.
- Account for all parts, materials,toolsand consumables used asrequired.
- Drive and work safelyin accordance withcompany and/or customer safety policiesandprocedures.
- Develop andmaintainpositive, effective workingrelationshipswith customers and co-workers.
- Maintain the van’s interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.
- Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities asrequired.
- Keep an adequate set of personal toolsas required by the position.
- Work with all departments and employees to ensure quality of customer service.
Ideal candidate willpossess:
-Strong mechanical aptitude & ability; basic knowledge of industrial electricity
-Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-HS Diploma or GED
-At least two (2) years ofhands-ontechnical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components
- Must be able to push, pull, andlift upto 50lbs
-Must be able to climb ladders and/or work on elevated platforms that may be 15’ to 30’ in height
